Andrew began his professional career in a planning & design role for the South Rd / Port Road Grade Separation project at the Department for Transport, and has worked as a planner (including in senior positions) in a number of Local Government planning authorities for the majority of the 15 years prior to taking on the position of Development and Technical Manager at Master Builders SA (MBASA), which he has held for the last 2 years, while continuing to operate his planning and design consultancy, AcroPLAN[SA].

The key elements that set AcroPlan[SA] apart from other planning consulting firms include:

Being a strong coordinator for planning, design and management of the whole approval process;
Management of other consultants through a broad, cross-disciplinary approach;
Ability to see potential building rules issues at the planning stage, with his experience, clients do not have to go back to the drawing board after planning approval;
Having worked in Government, understanding of the multiple stakeholder involvement in complex projects and ability to negotiate successfully with agencies through assessment.
